Currently, nearly 70% of Cadillac Area Public School’s elementary students as well as students at the Cooley High School qualify for our program!
Based on income guidelines determined by the state, food-insecure children are identified and given the opportunity to participate in the program. Once enrolled, each qualified child receives a food bag at the end of every week containing six kid-friendly meal options and six snacks. Presently, faithful volunteers pack approximately 450 bags of food to be sent home with students each Friday. During the 2014-2015 school year this equated to 13,821 bags of food! We thank God for His wonderful provision of financial resources.
CABP is now operational in all four elementary schools in the Cadillac school district, all Great Start Readiness Program students, all Headstart classrooms, and Cooley High School. If you would like to help us, please meet us at the Cooley Annex on Granite Street at 9:00 am for Set-up and/or 9:30 am for packing. We can also use help with our morning and afternoon delivery as well.
This ministry is 100% funded by donations and completely dependent upon God’s amazing grace! If you would like to support our ministry, you may do so by clicking on the “give” tab at the top of the page and designating your gift to CABP, or you may send a check to the First Baptist Church (125 Stimson Street; Cadillac MI 49601). Please write “CABP” in the memo of your check or if giving online, please write "CAPB" in the "other" box which says: "Where would you like your money to go?" THANK YOU!
