Our Men's Ministry is known as "THE CARPENTERS UNION" because we are trying to be like Jesus.

Jesus was a carpenter and we are His people so we are His union.

Currently going on in the Men's Ministry:

8-10am every 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month.

Climbing a mountain alone is a difficult and even dangerous undertaking.  Attempting to climb the mountain of manhood alone is also not recommended. Just like a mountain climber needs to belay or connect with another man for safety and support, we need other men around us to help us stay on course with our manhood.  Having other men deeply connected to us becomes invaluable when we slip, struggle, or stray off course in our manhood journey.  To fully enjoy 33, experience it in community with other men. The goal of this study is not just to fill in the blanks of your Training Guide, but also to fill in the blanks of your life. Having other men walk through the experience with you is key to moving this material from the pages of your Training Guide to the pages of your life.

  1. Provides encouragement. Every man needs other men cheering for him and encouraging him on his journey to Authentic Manhood.
  2. Gives you additional insight. Having other men around you helps you get a much better perspective on your life. Others can help you discover your blind spots and avoid costly mistakes.
  3. Brings constructive criticism. We all need men in our lives who will be honest with us to help us become better men.
  4. Makes your journey richer. Sharing life with a community of men makes the great times feel like a celebration and provides much needed support when life gets rough.

In the pursuit of authentic manhood, every man must understand and come to grips with the defining moments and key relationships that have shaped his unique “story.” In this second volume of 33 The Series, men explore their stories through a biblical perspective. With help from experts and regular guys, they will be equipped to learn from their past, come alive in their present, and enjoy God’s best in the future.

The Carpenters Union is a men’s ministry group that meets at First Baptist Church on the third Saturday of each month at 8:00 AM in the Underground.

Our mission is to disciple, develop, encourage, and hold accountable men who love and fear God.

The Carpenters Union seeks to provide an atmosphere in which men can feel comfortable discussing real-life situations with each other. We explore what God’s Word says about those specific situations and provide practical solutions and applications straight from Scripture.

Events such as Skeet shoots, canoeing, camping, bike rides, and the Super Bowl party are scheduled during the year. These events are crafted in such a way as to promote fellowship, forge lasting bonds, and provide “non-threatening” avenues for inviting friends to church. We also seek to give back to our community through service projects scheduled throughout the year.
