CADILLAC AREA BACKPACK PROGRAM
The Cadillac Area Backpack Program (CABP) provides food to area school children who are at-risk of hunger or insufficient food sources when they leave school for the weekend and have no access to school meals
Based on income guidelines determined by the state, food-insecure children are identified and given the opportunity to participate in the program. Once enrolled, each qualified child receives a food bag at the end of every week containing six meal options and six snacks. Presently, faithful volunteers pack approximately 400-450 bags of food to be sent home with students each Friday.
CABP IS NOW OPERATIONAL AT THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS:
Cadillac Area Public Schools K-12 • Innovation High • Career Tech Center • Head Start Viking Learning Center • ISD • Manton • Mesick
If you would like to serve in this ministry, we pack every Thursday unless otherwise noted. Please meet at the Cooley Annex building on Granite Street at 9:00am for set-up and 9:30am for packing. Packing is complete no later than 10:15am.
This ministry is 100% funded by donations and completely dependent upon God's amazing grace!
