Missions

FBC Mission Team

The First Baptist Missions Committee exists to assist the members of the church in supporting missionaries and ministries through prayer, financial, and when possible physical support. We strive to encourage the church in the outreach of missions as well as encourage the missionaries that are in the field personally serving as the Lord has called them. The team includes Sue Fugere, Amy Langton, Travis Flint, Dean Geers, and Taryn Hurlbert.

Outreach Ministries

King's Storehouse Food Pantry

1st & 3rd Thursday of each month from 2-3:30pm
The King's Storehouse Food Pantry helps those with a specific need in the community by providing non-perishable food items. The need may result from job layoffs, unexpected expenses, or just being caught short of cash between paychecks - whatever the cause, people will find a loving and helping hand at The King's Storehouse.

Cadillac Area Backpack Program

Packs every Thursday during the school year.
Based on income guidelines determined by the state, food-insecure children are identified and given the opportunity to participate in the program. Once enrolled, each qualified child receives a food bag at the end of every week containing six meal options and six snacks. Presently, faithful volunteers pack over 450 bags of food to be sent home with students each Friday.

Haiti Clean Water

Water is life.
Haiti Clean Water, Inc. exists to glorify God through providing clean water to the people of Northern Haiti, which in turn empowers them to live healthy and productive lives. We do this in cooperation with our Haitian partners. We provide the resources and our Haitian partners implement the project. Our vision is for all Haitians to have access to clean, safe and healthy water.

Kids Hope

One child with one mentor for one hour.
Our mission is to serve as an outreach from First Baptist to the community of Cadillac.  To be "Jesus With Skin On" to hurting and struggling children and also to be an encouragement to teachers and staff at school. Anyone 16 years of age and older is eligible to apply to be a mentor or prayer partner.
