In 2024, First Baptist Church started a partnership through World Orphans with Beke Berhane Wongel Baptist Church in Beke, Ethiopia. In November, we are taking a team to visit our partner church, bringing encouragement to them as they continue the work of spreading the gospel throughout the town of Beke. This trip is intended to build stronger relationships with our friends in Ethiopia. We will get to see World Orphans Home based care program in action, the needs of the community, and the vision of church planting that Pastor Getamesay has in Beke. Beke is about an hour ride from the capitol of Ethiopia, Addis Ababa. We will stay in Addis Ababa and travel to Beke each day and be in Beke all day on Sunday to worship with the church in person.
